On October March 24th, 1999 American Legion M.I.A.
Post 231
Lake Texoma Texas held a Flag Dedication Ceremony
to dedicate Phase One
of the Veternams Memorial Flag Garden.
The Flag Pole was erected and donated to the
Post by the
Sons of the American Legion Squadron 231
The 1st Flagpole and the next two to be erected
in March are erected
in memory of Karl Lundren, Past Sgt-at Arms of
Post 231 who has
passed to the Post Everlasting.
On hand for the Dedication were Karl's wife Phyllis, her daughter and grandchildren.
A special thanks goes out to our local Boy Scouts
and Cub Scouts who participated
in the flag dedication.

of that
beautiful day in October.
